Fort Worth Combatives Introduce
For those in the Fort Worth and surrounding North Texas area who are serious about personal safety, physical fitness, and real-world preparedness, Fort Worth Combatives stands out as a truly unique and comprehensive sports complex. This isn't just a place to practice martial arts; it's a multi-disciplinary training center that fuses traditional combat disciplines with life-saving tactical and medical skills. Unlike many schools that focus on a single martial art, Fort Worth Combatives offers a dynamic curriculum that includes everything from Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Sambo to emergency trauma and firearms training. The mission is clear: to provide a realistic and effective education that empowers individuals to be more confident and prepared for any situation.
At the heart of Fort Worth Combatives is a team of expert and passionate instructors, led by Robert Klenka. As a certified EMT and a recognized educational partner for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC), Robert brings a wealth of real-world knowledge and experience to every class. Customer reviews consistently praise his teaching style, describing him as "genuinely fantastic," "very communicative," and possessing a "sardonic, dry wit" that makes even the most serious subjects engaging and informative. This blend of expertise and personality ensures that students are not only learning critical skills but are also enjoying the process. It's this dedication to providing a high-quality, memorable learning experience that sets Fort Worth Combatives apart from other training centers in the area.
The history of Fort Worth Combatives, which began in 2010 as Fort Worth Ninjutsu, shows a clear path of evolution and a commitment to integrating a variety of combative systems. The school has consistently added new programs and earned certifications, from Russian Martial Art Systema and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to firearms and emergency medical training. This history of continuous improvement and adaptation reflects the school's core belief that effective self-defense requires a multifaceted skill set. The facility is a certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu® Training Center, a Sambo Nation Affiliate, and a recognized partner for a number of tactical and medical courses, highlighting its high standards and broad expertise.
Fort Worth Combatives is conveniently located at 8808 Camp Bowie W Blvd #110, Fort Worth, TX 76116, USA. The location is easily accessible for residents across the greater Dallas-Fort Worth region, making it a viable option for those traveling from various neighborhoods. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Took the Combat Trauma Training class in July and it was genuinely fantastic! Robert is clearly passionate about this subject and it shows. He is funny and tells great stories with a sardonic, dry wit. An incredibly important class that everyone should take, especially with the state of the world these days.
July 26 · Mike (M.)Robert was a great teacher and very communicative leading up to the class. We took a Civilian Trauma, CPR, and AED class. I took it with my teenage son and feel like we are better prepared for real life scenarios like falls, cuts, or car accidents. The location has a microwave, mini fridge and one bathroom. If you run hot, you’re going to love how cool this place is. If not, bring a light sweater to be comfortable.I’m looking forward to a class this summer with improvised tourniquets.
May 24 · Michelle RuizRobert was incredibly knowledgeable. He was full of stories and experiences that help relate to the topic and leading to the next slide in his presentation. I learned alot and having a process i can rely-on when chaos will arrive
December 14 · Jay WongI am a senior citizen and I learned some good defense tactics when I attended the women's combative class taught by Robert and Jennifer. They are very good and the information and scenarios we practiced on the mat were very helpful. I definitely feel more aware if approached by an attacker and I highly recommend their class.
April 21 · R GGreat class , Robert is truly passionate about his field . It is hard to find people who enjoy what they do 5 stars would recommend to anyone
