★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been a member of Family Karate for 3.5 years now with their kickboxing classes. This is my home away from home, and my therapy to stay sane with the everyday stresses of life. I absolutely love how they rotate the classes/routines so that each and every one is different. And the people and the laughter! Not only do I get a full on workout, I have built fantastic friendships that I treasure. Now onto the “Family” part of Family Karate. When my boys expressed interest in martial arts, I knew this would also be the right fit for them. They have tried other local places previously, and lost interest within a month or two. Both of my boys tend to be very shy, and I have seen their confidence soar as they train. Eight months later and they have advanced several belts. I see future black belts in my family. Highly recommend Family Karate!

June 10 · Heather RuppA couple of years ago, I wrote a review based on the TKD program, now I am a member on the kickboxing side of the school. This has been a great way to work out, release stress and have fun. The instructors are knowledgeable and know how to get the body moving. The class is filled with others that cheer you on and are there to be fit and have fun! It is a great place to work on cardio!
June 09 · T NovIt has been over a year, and our commitment and goals only get deeper. It started as a family gift to increase activity. It is now an empowering habit that makes everyone happy to learn and practice respect, and get stronger. Thank you to all the instructors and staff for a positive environment.
November 06 · catherine datteI am very disappointed in this center for over a month. I’ve been coaching my daughter on potty training for karate and school. My daughter gets fully potty trained in less than a month. I signed her up for karate tryouts today. She tried out at 5:45. Within 15 mins we were out the building. My daughter turned 3 may 5th so she’s a “new 3 “. She wasn’t doing as great as every other child but this was only her first day. Her first time seeing this. She definitely needed redirection and as a program that worked with children, I thought that was something that they was equipped to do. The coach within 15 minutes hands my daughter over to me and tells me she is too small. Try again in seven months. You are more than welcome to sit and watch. I saw my daughter on my lap. The coach asked the rest of the kids. Will they like a big or small block? My daughter screamed from the audience Big and tries to go and participate. I told her no honey you have to just watch. She begins to cry so I carry her away and we start leaving upon entering the building. She was super excited. She would say Mommy I’m so excited. I’m excited. Are you excited? I said yes honey I’m excited. I’m excited because you’re about to do karate the front desk Lady even looked and Smiled because she seen how excited my daughter was, she walked us to the back. Now as we’re leaving the building, my daughter is crying. The front desk lady said oh what happened? I said we’ll have to try again soon. I was very emotional, but I had to hold back my tears cause my daughter was full of them. I said it’s OK. you did good. It’s OK. She looks at me and said Mommy “ MOMMY I DID NOT DO A GREAT JOB” my heart shattered in 1 million pieces can’t even explain how I felt my daughter cried for 25 minutes Cause she just wanted to go back to karate. I understand if she was too young as they say, but the way it was done wasn’t professional, and it hurt my feelings and my daughters feelings. It was also embarrassing. I had a grandmother sitting next to me who was telling me her daughter was there since three years so her granddaughter was there since three years old How well they work with redirection how well they work with helping the children and within minutes it was the total opposite. I don’t like the way things were handled and I feel like I could’ve been told at the end of the class that it wasn’t a great fit the same way I was gonna be told at the end of the class about prices and when is classes uniform, etc. Not every child is perfect not every child is the same. Not every child will behave the same and you can’t expect every And be the same. My daughter is very smart and with a little bit more patience and practice and redirection she would’ve been just fine. I left with a huge knot in my throat. I’m writing this review. I’m finally able to let go of my tears and my feelings. Best part about this all is I did find somewhere with my daughter will be a great fit and will be accepted where they will work with her build her confidence not break her confidence down ( KIDSSTRONG) it’s about a 45 minute commute for me once a week, but that is definitely something I will be doing to help build my daughter’s confidence.
