★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My son started karate classes almost a year ago, from the first moment he loved it. We felt welcomed, Cody was great helping him to be comfortable and enjoy his first experience as part of the class. The structured sessions are a great mixture of discipline, fun games, challenging obstacles, self defense skills, and educating them when they can use karate. They help improved my son’s attention, coordination, body awareness and strength. Our son did his first tournament last fall and it was a great experience. There was a sense of community. The friendly encouraging environment brought the best out of the students, who demonstrated serious knowledge. It is great to see the higher rank students helping during the beginner classes. All the teachers are great! Sensei Cody, Anna, Michelle and Namish, just to name a few. They are patient, kind and very skilled. I’m happy that my son is surrounded by staff like that.I highly recommend Excel Martial Arts!
February 18 · Kay MarieMy two sons have been enrolled in Excel Martial Arts for several years and I couldn't be happier with their experience! The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely care about the progress of each student. The classes are well-structured, catering to all skill levels, which creates a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. I've seen significant improvements in my sons' skills and confidence since they started. The sense of community among students is fantastic, making each session both enjoyable and motivating for them. I highly recommend Excel Martial Arts to any parent looking to help their children enhance their martial arts skills or simply get mentally and physically fit in a fun and engaging environment!
February 01 · Steve MillerMy kids Ayush and Aneesha have been part of excel Martial arts for several years now, and it has been an incredible experience for our kids. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also patient, supportive, and truly invested in each student’s progress. They emphasize discipline, respect, and perseverance while keeping classes engaging and fun.One of the standout aspects of Excel Martial Arts is their exciting “Star Challenges.” These challenges encourage kids to develop discipline, take responsibility, participate in family activities and chores, and build both their mental and physical stamina. It’s a fantastic way to reinforce valuable life skills beyond just martial arts.Another great aspect of this dojo is that higher belt-level students are encouraged to teach and mentor younger ones. This instills leadership qualities, builds confidence, and fosters a strong sense of community and giving back. It’s amazing to see older students take on this responsibility, setting a positive example and reinforcing their own skills in the process. Thanks to their structured yet encouraging environment, both my children have grown tremendously in confidence, focus, and physical ability. The dojo fosters a strong sense of teamwork, where students of all levels are motivated to push themselves while supporting each other. Excel Martial Arts is an excellent place to learn and grow whether your child is just starting or looking to advance in their training. We highly recommend this dojo to any family looking for quality martial arts training in a positive and empowering atmosphere!Thank you to all the senseis (Sensei Cody, Sensei John, Sensei Anna, and Sensei Michelle to name a few), who have left a lasting impact on my kids.
February 23 · sweta ghoshFinding the right dojo for your child is more than just googling martial art schools in your area. Some schools are rated higher than others due to various reasons such as the quality of the equipment, the cleanliness of the dojo and the competency of the instructors. At Excell Martial Arts, who have recently celebrated their 20 year anniversary, has built a strong community based on their enthusiasm, dedication and support. My daughter absolutely loves her karate studio. The instructors are incredibly skilled, patient, and genuinely care about each student’s progress. One of the standout aspects of the studio is how higher-belt students actively participate in teaching and assisting in the classroom. This not only creates a supportive learning environment but also serves as a great example of leadership and teamwork for the younger students. Also the studio is always exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which we really appreciate as parents. It’s clear that the staff takes pride in creating a safe and hygienic space for everyone. They focus not just on physical skills but also on building confidence, discipline, and respect, which are so important for young kids. The welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere has been a highlight for myself, and have noticed such positive growth in my daughter both mentally and physically since she started almost a year ago. I can’t recommend this studio enough to anyone looking for a top-notch martial arts experience for their child!”Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to highlight!
December 03 · Leah ZukauskasHi, I wanted to post a review of excel studio in canton. My son is 11 now and has been going since he was 9. He never really locked on to any other sport until karate. In the past year and a half I’ve watched him grow physically and emotionally. The instructors are so supportive and disciplined. It’s great watching my son achieve the goals that are set for him. Watching him place first, in his group, in kata, was very rewarding. The look of success and accomplishment on his face was priceless. Thank you excel
