★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1"Even if we only contributed 5% to his growth, knowing we helped is huge."My son has been attending Curtis Karate for the past month, and within that time not only has he had an amazing time with each class, his behavior at home as markedly improved. And as the quote says above, Sensei Curtis just wants to see kids improve in themselves. That's what the studio is all about for these kids; personal growth and character, and this studio provides both and more.
January 29 · Matt GeisenOur son attended for a while. It started off good, he learned new skills, built confidence, made friends, earned belts and moved up to a higher group. After time he started to get bored from learning the same technique. Yes, he moved up levels but the only thing that changed was the monthly cost, uniform and gear. At a point he started to earn a new belt so often that it felt like it was just about money. We bought gear that he never even used.We informed them that our son no longer wanted attend and the reason for it. With this said they pulled him to the office and questioned why he wanted to leave, they offered to move him to a higher group a free class and such if he stayed. This made our son so uncomfortable that rather than stay for his last class he wanted to leave. The fact that he questioned a child the way he did for a choice that our son made was shocking, it showed his true character.
July 25 · Veronica ArmendarizCurtis Karate does not only a great job of teaching karate but also how to be a better student, child and citizen. We have been attending classes for my son for over a year and a half and he always leaves feeling fulfilled and excited to continue learning. Plus they have so many fun extra activities like movie night and trunk or treats to keep the kids having fun! We love it here!
February 05 · Nicole Farinha-JohnsonGreat place for the kids my grandson goses there and loves it the staff is great highly recommended they do a great job with the kids for them to learn karate love it there
June 20 · Tanya LoweCurtis Karate is an amazing dojo. Both of my kids are on the autism spectrum, and they’ve been attending for about 2 1/2 years now. My older son, who is introverted and very shy, didn’t want to go at first, but by the end of his trial class, he surprised me by saying, “Sign me up!” I couldn’t believe it. My younger son, also very shy, didn’t want to join the school program but opted for private lessons instead. After his first lesson, he told me to “sign him up for life.”What sets Curtis Karate apart is how much they focus on building self-esteem while teaching valuable self-defense skills. The instructors give the kids the courage to keep pushing, even when they want to give up, because they know each child has it in them to be their best. I’ve recommended this dojo to several friends, and a few of their kids have joined as well. The staff is incredible—they greet every child by name and treat everyone like family. They even go beyond the dojo; if I’m concerned about my kids’ behavior at home, the instructors take the time to talk to them and encourage better choices. Curtis Karate is more than just a karate studio—it’s a supportive, uplifting community for kids and families alike.
