★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1College of Martial Arts is not just a place for people to learn self defense, they treat everyone like family. My 8 year old wanted to learn karate so you can imagine how happy I was as a parent to know she would have a bright future. However, I didnt expect all the integrity that she would gain being surrounded by a large, family based organization who constantly support each other in their dreams and aspirations. Every year they have multiple events that bring everybody together for fun, friendly competitions, laughter, and enjoyment!Sensei Ryan Burtney has one of the warmest hearts of anyone you'll ever meet and he's great at teaching others just how to be a great human being with knowledge and skill to take them far in life. My child is 12 now with a junior black belt, and she has more integrity than most adults I meet. Thank you, College of Martial Arts for all that you've done to enrich my daughters life and I hope nothing but greatness for the new dojo and everyone who walks through those doors!
May 09 · Dana LindstromWhat started as something to help my kids with focus and discipline. Has turned into a life long journey to Black Belt Excellence for me. Having worked through the ranks myself over the last 6 years I can attest that the staff at the College of Martial Arts go well above and beyond in their teaching of Karate. Not just the physical side of it. But also, the mental side of it. Making sure that every child and adult student becomes the best version of themselves. Sensei and Sempai Burtney have created an atmosphere that is warm, friendly and welcoming to all that walk through the Dojo doors. I am thrilled to be a part of this Karate family. As sempai says, “I LOVE IT.”
August 08 · Adam WilliamsThis dojo deserves 10 stars! We absolutely love it here. We have watched our daughter blossom and grow so much here. She now has more confidence, strength, determination, awareness, and spirit! The teachers and staff are all very skilled, knowledgeable, and always very welcoming. I would also recommend this dojo to anyone of any age. It’s never too late!
April 24 · SerafinaThis year has been great. Karate has really opened up my eyes to the type of life I want to have and the person I want to be. It gave me the structure I needed to figure that out. It has instilled great values like discipline, confidence and self reflection. Sensei Burney taught me how to hold myself accountable and to not lie to myself which is what I was doing to start my college journey. I think this dojo gave me the community I desperately needed as well. A group of people who are friendly but will also push to do the best I can not only in karate but in life. There so many times they pushed me rather it was something they said to me directly and did without them even noticing I saw it. Many people at the school know I lost weight and I consistently ask questions(especially when I first started). It's the type of place where I ask myself “how can I be more like those black belts?”. That question has pushed more than you guys will ever know.Ps- Sensei you did an amazing job picking your staff shout to Mr.Schop Ms.Cuasevic and Mr.Wu.
May 05 · Epic HarryI started this school right before going to a new Highschool. I always struggled with self confidence and was bullied throughout elementary and middle school. Starting my martial arts journey in 2017 was the best decision that I made. I can't even express how amazing Sensei and senpai are. They helped me grow in more ways than they can imagine. I could talk about karate for hours and my friends can never hear the end of my karate stories. At the college of martial I discovered who I was and I am becoming the best version of myself. I continuously learn more about myself and develop my character everyday. They aren't just my Sensei and senpai, they are like family. I love all the students and families that make this facility come together!
