★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It's difficult to put words down for a place that means so much. We started our son at Championship Training two years ago. We had heard how taekwondo can build confidence, and with a kiddo who can get pretty anxious, we decided to look for a dojang. Plus, I wanted him to learn values of discipline, responsibility, respect, and humility. We originally chose Championship Training because community means a lot to us, they volunteered at my son's kindergarten for a few weeks. They also raised money for the free school lunch program. Little did we know, this place is so much more. All are welcome here, no matter abilities or background. As long as you put in the work and uphold the values of the dojang, you will grow in all sorts of unexpected ways. Master Corbin is all about kids (and adults), overcoming limits - the limits others put on you or that you put on yourself. I've seen kids accomplish amazing things here. Yes, there are national champions who train here, but it's a place for everyone and each goal matters. And no one EVER makes another feel lesser. Quite the opposite. Master Corbin and the entire team build each other up - yet hold each other accountable. In a time when youth sports can be really tricky, this is the real deal. A place for all, to become better humans, better athletes, in a supportive community. I never thought I would be a taekwondo mom, but am sure glad I am.
June 05 · Kelsey StammWe have been a part of the Championship Training community for about 1.5 years, and in that short time my child has grown and matured in ways I never could have imagined. One of my favorite things about Master Corbin is that he is an excellent storyteller- he teaches so much more than just taekwondo! He leads by example- instilling integrity, self-respect, and critical life-skills. Listening to him talk to and guide his students is incredibly inspiring and I often find myself completely mesmerized while observing classes. He tells it like it is and challenges his students to push themselves to be the very best they can be. He acknowledges and supports differences, and never allows his students to sell themselves short. The classes and other activities are structured in a way that promotes independence while simultaneously fostering a sense of reliability on and accountability to the team as a whole. Students are consistently learning from one another and lifting each other up. Many students with higher belt ranks act as junior instructors, helping lead classes and providing 1:1 support to less experienced students. There was definitely a time when I had doubts about enrolling my child in any kind of martial arts or “fighting” activity. I finally decided to give it a try because we desperately needed a positive outlet for his sometimes aggressive and chaotic energy. I am very proud to say that his level of self-control has increased exponentially since becoming a part of this community. His strength, stamina, and flexibility have also increased dramatically. Last but not least, he is developing a sense of his own character and ability to be a strong, confident leader in our community. I highly recommend Championship Training to anyone looking to give martial arts a try!
February 26 · kjreppeChampionship Training is unmatched. It lends itself to a positive environment that is integrity-driven. The quality of instruction is truly amazing, and Master Corbin is a one-of-a-kind coach and mentor - he is REMARKABLE. My family feels incredibly lucky to be a part of Championship Training, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
January 16 · Megan MikelsonsAre you looking for an after school activity for your child? Are you looking for a sport for your child? Are you looking for a fun fitness activity for the whole family? Are you searching for a community (they say it takes a village)? Are you looking for a place to fit in with people that hold the same values you do? Are you looking for a way of life?Championship Training is the answer to all of these. My sons and I are in our 10th year with Championship training. It has been all of the above things and so much more. We started because I had 3 sons and I knew they needed Martial Arts. They needed to learn Self control, discipline and etiquette and have a way to get out all the energy that boys have out in a productive, healthy way. I decided to join them so that I would know what to do and be able to help them when they were little. I fell in love with taekwondo and instead of stepping back, I just keep stepping forward. Taekwondo has allowed me to grow as a person, an athlete, an instructor and now a coach. Some roles I never imagined for myself. My family has gone through the most difficult things any family could experience in our time at Championship Training. It is because of Championship Training, Master Corbin, Mrs Corbin and the community they have built that we have not only been able to survive but to thrive. I cannot express in words the value Taekwondo and Championship Training has in our lives. Come experience it for yourself. As we all do, I question some decisions I have made in life. But joining Championship Training and remaining with them is not one I have ever questioned, not once.
March 01 · Sara WallaceThis is the *best* place to learn TKD. We've been to other schools, and they don't compare. The skills learned are far more than just proficiency in the sport of TKD. Master Corbin gives 100% all of the time.
