Champions Martial Arts Mill Basin Introduce
In the heart of Mill Basin, Brooklyn, lies Champions Martial Arts, an institution that offers much more than just kicks and punches. It is a dedicated martial arts school and children's camp where kids and adults alike learn valuable life skills that extend far beyond the mat. For New York City families seeking a safe, structured, and engaging environment for their children to spend their summers or after-school hours, Champions Martial Arts provides a compelling solution. The school is a place where discipline and respect are taught alongside physical fitness, helping to shape young individuals into confident and well-rounded citizens.
Champions Martial Arts' core philosophy is built on the belief that martial arts is a powerful tool for personal development. The school offers a variety of programs, including a highly-regarded summer camp, designed to build discipline, confidence, and encourage students to do their best. Led by passionate instructors like Master Jame, the school provides an environment where every student receives the individual attention and encouragement they need to succeed. According to one parent, Master Jame is a "wonderful instructor that really takes his time with all students and provides them with the skills, tools, resources, and encouragement they need to do their best." This personalized approach is what makes the school a nurturing and effective place for growth.
However, it is important for prospective families to be aware of the experiences of others. A review from a parent whose son has mild autism highlights a deeply disappointing interaction. The parent was initially encouraged to bring their son for a free class, and while the child had difficulty participating due to shyness and attention issues, the parent was hopeful when Master Jang suggested private classes. Despite repeated attempts to contact Master Jang to schedule these classes, the parent received no response and felt "completely ghosted." This experience, which the parent described as "unprofessional" and feeling like "discrimination," stands in stark contrast to the positive testimonials. This kind of feedback underscores the importance of clear and consistent communication from the school's staff, especially when dealing with families seeking specialized care. While the school's website encourages the inclusion of kids with attention deficits, the ghosting incident shows a lack of follow-through, and it is a crucial point for potential clients to consider and inquire about before committing to a program.
Conversely, many families have had overwhelmingly positive experiences. Another parent with two children at the school expressed that it was "one of the best decisions" they have made, noting how their children have "grown in many ways" since attending. This growth is a testament to the school's effective teaching and nurturing environment. The curriculum focuses on more than just physical techniques; it instills values that are critical for success in and out of the classroom. The positive feedback highlights a community that feels supportive and encouraging, where students are inspired to thrive in their martial arts journey. This dedication to students' overall well-being is what makes Champions Martial Arts Mill Basin a beloved institution for many local families.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I spoke to Master Jang about my son starting classes. At first the communication was quick via text and he offered a free class to see if we are interested. My 4 year old son have mild autism. He is verbal and can follow directions but need redirection at times. His pre K teacher advised to get him involved in group activities and gave karate/martial arts as a suggestion. The champion martial arts site also encourage kids who have attention deficits etc to join. During the free class my son was too shy and had difficulty paying attention. Master Jang said he would advise private classes first before joining group. He said he would text and give me the information after classes. My son came home and practiced what he saw in class. I was excited that my son wanted to be involved though he didnt participate in person. I texted Master Jang multiple times about starting the private classes and no response. Called and no response. I texted saying i felt he is ignoring me because he doesnt want to work with my son. He didnt answer. I was completely ghosted. That is very unprofessional. My son and i should not be treated like that. If there was a issue he should let me know instead of ignoring me. This is false advertisement, i felt hurt and wouldn't advise people to join due to discrimination.
