★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Beavercreek Martial Arts is the place to go! Master Ken is very inviting and always has a smile on his face! My 6 year old has learned important life lessons, manners, and self discipline! Coach Thomas is very dedicated to the kids and does such a great job showing the kids martial arts and encouraging good behavior! If you aren’t signed up yet, you should be!
July 04 · Jennifer RobertsonDecided to jump in and try something new at 34 years old and joined the adult jiu jitsu evening classes about 11 weeks ago. I don't think I could have found a better gym. Coach Ken is absolutely wonderful and he has built such a welcoming, inviting, and supportive atmosphere that I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Fellow class mates and higher belts are extremely kind, knowledgeable, and quite helpful. Safety is also a priority and as well as ensuring you are "comfortable" as woman working with men whether that's what you choose or not. It's fun, its a workout, and it makes me feel safer in my own skin! Come join us!
August 25 · Andrea SchenckI am truly impressed with how Master Tran and his team have been helping my 11-year-old daughter. Because of this positive experience, I’ve also enrolled my 9-year-old daughter. Discovering this studio has been a true blessing.
December 05 · Greg CookOut of all the activities I've done in my years of high school, being a jujitsu student has probably been one of my favorites. My younger siblings have been taking taekwondo classes here for a couple years and they have absolutely loved it. Any opportunity they get, they are extremely proud to show off some of their moves. More recently, my family signed me up for evening jujitsu classes after a week of trying various activities, and choosing this was a clear decision. The thing that really stood out to me was the bonding between students and staff, this is such a fantastic group of folks to hang out and learn with, everyone is extremely friendly and supportive, never missing an opportunity to help you learn a new skill. On top of that, it is a great workout, even in my hour-long class. For anyone who has time in their schedule and is looking for a new activity, I would highly recommend checking this place out!
February 28 · Colby AndersonMy kids have been attending Mini Ninja (age 5-7) classes for over a year now and we have all really enjoyed our time! I wanted my kids to be involved with an extra curricular activity but was apprehensive about which option to choose that could accommodate short attention spans and very active 5 year olds. Beavercreek Taekwondo ended up being a perfect selection! 30 minute class 2 times per week makes it great for time management - we are home early enough for our night time routine not to change. The classes are broken into different activities to work on earning colored stripes that represent different qualities (teamwork, focus, balance, etc) and a memorized skill (kick/punch combos and/or a form) as they work toward belt testing over about a 2 month cycle. They are rewarded with a game week after testing which is definitely a favorite in our house. The classes can be chaotic due to the kids ages & ability to focus but if you commit to the full belt testing cycle before making a snap judgment, it's really impressive to see what the kids learn and can demonstrate. Awesome for self esteem building! I enjoy that the instructors work on whole body listening and tying in each week's skill with ways to incorporate that skill into family life and and that one of the required black stripes comes from parents' input on how well kids are living the principals at home. Friendly, great staff, and just the right amount of structure/fun balance for this age.
