★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My son has been attending this dojo for almost a year and I absolutely adore them. The lead instructor sets a really good example for the kids, and the environment is encouraging and queer-affirming. Only docking a star because I’d like to see them diversify their instructors a bit more; currently they only have two and the older guy instructor isn’t the best at communicating with parents. Their rates are super affordable, too! Great little Hilltop gem.
April 14 · revolutionstarr21Family oriented lessons that are open invitation to all. I see all walks of life from the very young to the seniors in our life. It is a wonderful experience for anyone who wants a great opportunity for learning, physical exercise, safety, and belonging.
May 03 · Heriberto MartinezThis particular Aikido school was founded in 2016, and shares a lineage similar to Tenzan Aikido in North Seattle. The instruction here is excellent, and the teachers are very knowledgeable. A very reputable school!
April 08 · Kareem HadeeWe LOVE Tacoma Aikikai! It’s an extremely welcoming dojo. Our son has been going for over 2 years now and Ea & Eric are wonderful Senseis. They blend the discipline of the practice with a lot of fun for the kiddos. I am always so impressed! I love that it’s a mixed age, multi gender and diverse group for our kids to be a part of.They offer multiple children’s classes & adult classes, summer camps and more.Highly recommend!!
