Aikido - Multnomah Aikikai Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I couldn’t recommend a dojo more than Multnomah Aikikai. I first studied Kung Fu as a child, Karate as a teenager and young adult and now Aikido in my 40’s. I have been practicing for 2 years now and this has changed my life. I am in much better physical shape. I have much better clarity and focus that carries through other areas of my life. Aikido, along with diet and other measures, has allowed me to learn how to not let stress impact me mentally or physically as it used to. At the forefront of this is the amazing community of other members. I have grown to love, respect and cherish them all.
September 10 · Matthew PerkinsI went here for a demonstration and the school presented a wonderful show of Karate, Aikido and Iaido. They also had a drawing where I won a free book and they gave us free 🍣 which was delicious. The staff and students were also very nice. If you want to study any of the 3 disciplines listed above this would be a good school.
October 07 · Alexander BournsEleven years ago I walked into Multnomah Aikikai after having trained for a bit in Hawaii. I still fondly remember how warmly I was received. Since then, M. Aikikai has become like a second home for me. The training is sincere, and everyone is able to work at the level appropriate to their own development. There are numerous senior instructors and students, so training is only limited be what an individual is willing to bring to the dojo. Aikido is a challenging art to learn, and progress can come slowly, but personally I feel as though I learn something new every class. I am so pleased to be a member of Multnomah Aikikai, and it is hard for me to imagine regularly training anywhere else.
September 15 · Daniel ChapmanI've been training at Multnomah Aikikai for about 4 years now. Before Aikido I trained in Tae Kwon Do then Karate. I've been fortunate to train with some great teachers, and none better than at Multnomah Aikikai. The level of instruction is world-class and the students are wonderful. The dojo is as much a community as a place to learn a martial art and I deeply appreciate having both. If you are interested in the martial art of Aikido, and are looking for a supportive, engaged, and high caliber place to learn, this is it!
November 24 · Greg CorbinThis place is like a family atmosphere with people and instructors who care for you beyond just what you learn in class. They feed into your growth as a more fully realized human being. I might add this is all done in the spirit of love and encouragement. Necessary ingredients for true growth. Very, very happy here.
