Our 5 year old son has been taking classes at Action Karate Oreland for a little less than a year. Mr. Sude, Ms. Genevieve, and their team of coaches are fantastic with kids of all ages. They are patient, kind, thoughtful, experienced, and they are excellent teachers. Classes are only 30 minutes and varied enough to keep everyone’s attention and help them to progress in their training. Karate is a workout that requires you to push beyond what you can normally do. Every time it is time to test, you give it your all to earn your next belt. It requires you to push, struggle, and keep going to earn the reward of your next belt. Here I am, almost at the point where I test for my black belt. Throughout many years of struggle and triumph, here I am going for the ultimate goal. More struggle is to come, but if you overcome it, you become a part of the less than 1% of the population with a black belt. My parents signed me up because they had read that martial arts helps build confidence, which I was lacking. When I started I was really nervous and did not know what to expect. Over a few months, I started to feel more comfortable and started to enjoy it. I also really started to enjoy karate when my best friend joined. My grandchildren attend karate classes here and I am very happy with their programs. I have seen a big difference with my grandson and his focus, especially in school. The instructors are knowledgable and are very patient with the kids. I highly recommend this school for karate for your children or grandchildren!
