May 26 · Reed WilkinsThis is a great school. Noticed a great difference in my son's attitude after he started his karate journey. He's much more disciplined and responsible while still being a child. There have been some shake ups in 2023 but the school is moving forward with a renewed direction and focus on the art form. Excited to see how the school continues to develop as well as my son.Definitely come in and talk with the leadership if you've got any hesitation, try a trial class, summer classes, etc. Support a small, honest local business and join this karate family!
June 22 · RyanClark -My daughter (8) and I (39) joined a couple months ago and have both become addicted to karate. We were looking for an activity/hobby for my youngest daughter and this has exceeded every expectation. Sensei Walker is great with kids, as well as us less coordinated adults (me). The classes have a good mix of various age groups, and everyone has been welcoming and supportive. We have both enjoyed learning karate, grappling, weapons, and self-defense, as well as just spending time with each other and getting to know the other students (kids, teens, and adults) at the dojo. Sensei does a great job at explaining (and teaching) the traditional aspects of the karate style as well as practical applications in self-defense scenarios. A few months ago, joining a karate dojo was not something remotely on our radar and now I cannot imagine life without it as part of our daily/weekly routine. Highly recommend attending a session; whether for your child or for yourself, regardless of age or current abilities.
July 23 · Lidon PearceOur daughter has been going to AOK for 3 years now. The training she has been receiving has been incredible. Students also learn about goals, loyalty, discipline perseverance and dedication. The instructors were trained by the best. They are patient and know how to bring the best out of the students. Our daughter has been learning skills that could save her life one day. To me that is priceless. Our 5 year old grandchild started a few months ago and has been loving it as well.
August 24 · Lisa LopezTook my 7 year old girl to try out and see if she liked it. The staff were very friendly, they take Karate very seriously for those who want to learn. I've spent 2 years in Okinawa and its' evident the traditions have been passed through the lineage, it's nice to see that they care about it and teach it to their students. We will be regulars as long as she stays interested.
