★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My kids and I are here respectively 5 nights per week now. As an older mom with a sedentary lifestyle I already see improvement in my stamina and perspective on life and I am so grateful for Instructor Will’s gentle teaching style. The adult class is a wonderfully accepting place to learn!!!
July 17 · Heidi ElliotI think the Oriental perspective on mind body wellness has helped me both physically and mentally. The western emphasis on health tends to be largely physical. Treating your body like a machine and ignoring the yin yang of the mind -body connection that is crucial for real well being . So, while Oom Yung Doe has improved my physical body; I definitely have gained spiritual health at the same time.
July 15 · Franz LutterGoogle Facebook and yelp8 martial arts unitedMy son Xzavier age 7 has been working with Will for a month now. He is learning so much including following instructions and respect for others an marital arts. He loves the class he doesn’t ever want to leave. I personally am great full that he has found something to focus his energy on something he enjoys. Will is great with the kids and I hope my son continue to enjoy his class.I enjoy watching him grow and learn the techniques of martial arts.
April 04 · Suesanne MckinstryI have been a student for about 8 weeks now and I love every class! I enjoy learning multiple martial arts and becoming more confident in my abilities to defend myself and challenge my body and mind! It's fun to learn different practices. I feel the benefits both mentally and physically and leave class each time feeling better than when I walked in. Instructor Will is an excellent teacher and provides an awesome experience each class! It's a wonderful experience and a positive atmosphere!
March 12 · Christina JozefiakI cannot recommend 8 Martial Arts highly enough. I joined the studio as a complete novice to martial arts and was encouraged by Instructor Will and my classmates to dive in. I found the experience to be deeply rewarding and beneficial to my overall health and well being (in no time at all). The practice helped de-clutter my mind and build strength and flexibility in my body. Instructor Will is extremely knowledgeable of how the body is engineered and has deep expertise of the traditions, history and lore of the practice. He is dedicated to sharing this passion with students of all levels and backgrounds and takes the time to work with all his students, regardless of their ability level. He is among the most caring, communicative instructors I have yet to practice with, often reaching out just to check in when you might miss a few classes in a row.The 8 Martial Arts facility itself is top-notch with plenty of space, bags, and equipment. Everything is kept very clean and orderly. What really sets 8 Martial Arts apart is the community. All the students are supportive of one another and it feels like a familial environment. There's no ego or competitiveness in the class, just a shared love for learning about the history and ceremony of the practice.Whether you're a beginner looking to get in shape and learn self-defense, or a seasoned martial artist deepening your training, 8 Martial Arts is the perfect place for any and all. I looked forward to every class and continued to improve under the guidance of Instructor Will. The only reason I'm stopping is because we are moving away. This school has my highest recommendation - a must visit if you're ever curious about martial arts in the area!
